Science Speech Contest 2023

THEMES

The theme for Science Speech Contest 2023 is “Science makes our way of life change too fast” Participants must write and deliver a speech, the title and content of which are connected with the theme for the competition. Participants may interpret the theme in any way they wish.

Eligibility

• Maximum 3 participants per school are eligible to enter Science Speech Contest 2023.
• Participants must be students between Muttayom 4-6 at the time of the competition.

Disqualification

Participants who breach the rules relating to registration, eligibility or themes may be disqualified.

Structure of Competition

• Participants deliver their five-minute prepared speech, which must be connected with the prepared speech theme.
• Participants who speak for fewer than 4 minutes and 30 seconds or more than 5 minutes and 30 seconds may be penalized by the adjudicators.
• Scoring criteria (worth a total of 100 marks)
  1. Organization of the speech (introduction, body, conclusion) 15 mark
  2. Content 40 marks
  3. Voice Usage 25 marks
  4. Apperance 15 marks
  5. Time Management 5 marks

Awards

The 3 winners will receive a certificate with their name and also reward with

• 1,000 Baht for the 1st place
• 800 Baht for the 2nd place
• 500 Baht for the 3rd place
